Matter, even though Physical, is not Made of Mass

For millenniums the concept of mass inhabited human minds

As human beings we associate the concept of mass to the hardness and weight of matter and material objects.
For us human beings, mass is the very constituent of matter, mass represents the integrity Footnote of matter.
Yet as shown in this internet page the integrity of matter cannot be enforced by mass!
But first the fact of the matter about mass and matter!

Mass to matter ratio in volume

Under a microscope, objects appear as mosaics of molecules; at smaller scales, molecules appear as packs of atoms; and at smaller scales yet, atoms are merry-go-rounds of subatomic particles.

These subatomic particles - namely, protons, neutrons and electrons - one of which is represented on the far right, are incredibly small and active.
Mentally enlarging the size of an atom to that of a football field, in the center is a nucleus, the size of an orange, actually made of protons and neutrons; the nucleus diameter is 40,000 times smaller than the atom in which it resides
Close to the periphery are the electrons, performing their never-ending circular dance. Keeping in mind the football-field, at that scale electrons are the size of pinheads!

Matter is hollow in mass

As the football-field analogy shows, an atom, and matter for that matter, appears to be essentially empty of matter!
Now as far as mass is concerned the mass in the atom is found in the protons and neutrons making the nucleus and in the electrons.
Because both protons and neutrons are 1,800 times heavier than the electrons, for all purposes, the mass of the electrons can be ignored, and the mass of the atom is now essentially confined to the nucleus of the atom that is a miniscule volume (at scale the size of an orange in the middle of a football field).

Matterís integrity, while physical, is not made of mass

Considering the volume of space that the atomsí entire mass (the nuclei) occupy within matter, there is ample space for these nuclei to penetrate each other atomsí territories.
According to the reality of things at the atomic scale, objects at our scale should penetrate other objects as easily as we move a comb through our hair; material objects should actually mingle and combine with each other. A pile of dishes should be reduced to one!

Yet because solid objects do not combine, matter can simply not be made of empty space!
As such an object materialís solidity is obviously not coincidental to its mass.

In a nutshell, matter's hardness, cohesion and integrity all have nothing to do with matterís mass!

The role of electromagnetic fields

  1. The mass of subatomic particles cannot enforce the integrity of matter
    Neither the hard core of the atomsí nuclei as just seen way too small nor their gravitation much too weak implements the physical hardness and integrity of matter.
    The atomsí peripheral electrons, called valence electrons, could play that role. They bind atoms into molecules and molecules into objects. The integrity of an object made of wood or iron - for instance, its strength and certainly its resistance to elongation - is dependent on these electrons. Yet these peripheral electrons too, as far as their mass is concerned, are physically too small in size to prevent the blending and intermixing of atoms and solid objects.
  2. Electromagnetic fields are the only remaining entity that can enforce the integrity of matter
    Within an atom, the electric force is 1039 (that's one thousand, millions, millions, millions, millions, millions, millions) times stronger than that of gravity.
    One must conclude that electric fields the size of the atom itself - in effect, the nucleus / electrons combination of electric fields - implement the atomís hardness, that is, its resistance to compression and elongation.
    Furthermore when an electrical charge (such as the electron in the atom) is moving, its surrounding electric field is turned into an electromagnetic field.
    Within our own bodies, and objects at larger scales such as boats and planes, these electromagnetic fields, which fill the volume of the atoms, are the essence of matterís integrity, which is characterized as being unimpaired by stress and motion.
  3. Even though made of strong electrical fields, atoms are neutral electrically, just as we human beings conceive mass
    The subatomic particles within an atom being evenly numbered in negative electrons and positive protons, the atom as a whole ends up being neutral electrically just as mass is (for us human beings and in physics).
  4. This is the first step of a process discrediting mass as conceived in physics.
    At this stage:
    1. We shown that mass does certainly not enforce matterís solidity and cohesion.
    2. We identified the integrity of matter with robust electromagnetic fields, that appear neutral from the outside of the atom (at rest).
  5. Two more steps have to be overcome
    • Now we have to distinguish these incredibly strong electromagnetic fields from the electromagnetic fields existing at our scale, such as the electromagnetic waves (an example of which is light) biased electrically yet not solid.
      And this can be done in physics considering the uncertainty principle, which states that the smaller an entity the larger its energy.
    • The weight of matter is also commonly attributed to mass. Yet a weight is actually a force and is not mass.
      When you climb on a scale, a spring is compressed under the force of gravity.
      So your weight in the real world amounts to a force and is not made of mass.
In a nutshell mass is not needed in matter! Electric fields only implement matter.

The atoms inner electromagnetic fields are visible to the eyes, not mass

When there is neither sunlight nor moonlight, we do not see matter around us.
The appearance of objects surrounding us consists of light, coming from somewhere (the sun for instance) being reflected on matter and reaching our eyes.
The solid matter making the objects that surround us is invisible, unless lighted.
We are then compelled to conclude that the strong electromagnetic fields that are implementing matter are also reflecting light rays, and that matterís mass, which is all concentrated in the atomsí tiny nuclei, does not.
The appearance of matter, just as its integrity, has nothing to do with matterís mass.

In a nutshell mass is not needed for matter to be seen.

While mass exists in our minds and in physics it is not needed in reality

By now our human concept of mass has been entrenched in our minds for millenniums, and our human mathematical representation of the universe cannot do without that concept of mass.
Confronting that very subject from the other end, science's mathematics involves several entities that are nonphysical entities! Inertia and entropy are 2 of them. And inertia, which is fictitious, is identified to mass in physics!

Even though rigorous, the mathematics used in physics leads straight to non-sense in at least one case:
The mathematics associated to the Michelson Morley experiment of the 1890ís, is proving "beyond any doubt" that space is empty, or that the reality of space is nonexistent! Yet newer mathematics associated to newer experiments are proving also "beyond any doubt" that space now called quantum vacuum is anything but empty and is instead full of frantic energy. Amazingly and to this day physicists nevertheless hold firm onto these 2, physically incompatible, mathematical models of space.
For lack of existence of the former, the quantum vacuum necessarily wins in the real world; As such mathematics associated to the Michelson Morley experiment, and also mathematics associated to the photon translation and the photon itself may match the experiments but are certainly not a true model of reality!

In that spirit, while that new experiment about the Higgs boson announced the 4th of July 2012, which proves the existence of mass, is no doubt as valid as Michelson Morley experiment, I feel no guilt doubting about its mathematical interpretation as being the proof that mass exists!

In a nutshell mass is a mathematical tool. Mass doesn't exist in reality.

While matching the physical measurements physics equations have to be correct.
Yet physics equations do not provide a true (that is physical) image of the physical reality.
There is at least one very simple solution, which does the trick, but which is overlooked in physics.
And that is gravimotion.

A Glance at the Infinite Present

The integrity of matter in science physics has a very precise mathematical meaning (through the Noether's theorem).
In this page, whether it be our own body's matter or un-animated object's matter such as a stone, the integrity of matter coincides to the fact it doesn't disintegrate (it remains integral or it keeps its integrity) under normal circumstances of motion, stress and simply under the normal state of being.
